Mrs. Ronke Akin Ooye, also known as Abiyamo, is a resilient visionary who, despite being a victim of polio, refuses to be limited by her circumstances. She is the founder of Abiyamo Pot, an outreach program dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with children.
The most recent Abiyamo Pot event took place on April 6th, 2024, at St. Peter Primary School in Agege. This gathering brought together students from four primary schools and was a manifestation of God’s provision. Nearly 700 children were fed and ministered to with the love of Christ. The event was attended by both Christians and non-Christians, creating an atmosphere of joy and love through the sharing of food, food items for women, and goodie bags for the children, which included socks, books, pens, biscuits, and sweets.
The event featured performances by the guest artists, Iyebiye and Wise Minstrels International, who brought joy to everyone, regardless of age or religion, as the entire field danced together. The vision behind Abiyamo Pot is to reach out to children with the love of Christ and foster a bond of unity among the future leaders of tomorrow.
In addition to the activities, the Abiyamo charity collection allowed everyone to pick out clothes from the donations. The next Abiyamo Pot event is scheduled for November 9th, 2024.
